Thom & Linda Tyner established “The Veranda on Main” in 2008, laying the foundation for its success.
Today, the business is owned and operated by Darris & Karla Stoll.
The Stoll family recently fulfilled a lifelong dream by purchasing a charming bed and breakfast in the heart of their beloved small southern town. Deeply passionate about hospitality, they believe in creating a warm, welcoming space where guests can feel at home while experiencing the town’s rich history and charm. More than just innkeepers, the Stolls see themselves as community builders, dedicated to fostering growth and breathing new life into their town. They host local events, partner with small businesses, and create unique experiences that celebrate the town’s culture and traditions. With every guest they welcome and every connection they make, the Stoll family is not only running a bed and breakfast—they’re building a legacy of love, community, and renewal.
Choosing to open a BNB was fueled by a desire to serve our community and offer a service that would, hopefully, draw people to visit our lovely town and invite them into a place of peace and rest infused with the hospitality for which the South is famous.
What a blessing it turned out to be for us! In the beginning, we didn't fully understand what a gift it would be to meet such a variety of people from all walks of life, each one unique, and from all over the world. Friendships were made. Opportunities to share life, even if for a brief span of time, abounded. We wouldn't trade those encounters for anything!
In planning the design of Veranda on Main, the house needed to blend well with the historic area. We chose a Greek Revival style that was so prominent in the South in the 19th century. The best compliment we've received that confirms we made the right choice is when guests ask if the house was built in the mid-1800s. They are usually quite surprised when we tell them completed it was in 2008.
